Day 21: Cough It Up.

I have done it...I have managed to be an entire week behind on my blog... Never expected it to get this bad.

I have found myself to be progressively boring, as well...this could end badly!

6 days ago, on November 21st, I helped my mom clean her bathroom... How glamorous!

It was a nice Sunday indoors. Working and cleaning. We ended the night watching movies. Watched Valentine's Day starring Ashton Kutcher, who although has been accused of cheating, is still a hunk! Hunk number two behind Ryan Reynolds- dreamy dude! ;)

One crazy thing that occurred on this particular Sunday involved a terrifying encounter with a Starburst.

While catching up on a couple of shows I had saved on my DVR, I popped a red starburst in my mouth. Almost immediately... The edges of the candy were still rough- the ends hadn't melted and formed a mold of the roof of my mouth- I took in air and the starburst went with it! CHOKING, I gasped for air to get my mothers attention on the other side of the room (completely involved in the television). I never thought about what I would do in a situation like the one I found myself in unexpectedly...

Heimlich? Regurgitation? Choke to death? I had nothing but disturbing options.

The heimlich- that's practically impossible.

Regurgitation- Ew! I've NEVER been forced to gag myself to the point of barfing (and never want to)

And choke- no thank you...

I kept swallowing- trying...and it would slide down...then right back up.

Damn those red starburst candies...

Luckily, the warmth of my esophagus applying pressure to the moldable red mush caused the edges to soften and the candy to mold itself to slide down...slowly an painfully, but surely.

My throat hurt for about an hour but hey, now I know how to handle myself the next time a starburst gets stuck where it shouldn't.....

Oh, the remaining starburst took a quick trip to the trash can...

Lovely.

Day 17: Let's Get Creative

Today was crazy. Just plain CRAZY! (but I loved it).

I am very excited for Miss Kate Middleton- future QUEEN! Girl waited 8 years for Prince William.....

Something that made my day today:

Day 16: Heavenly

Behind, once again.....

Yesterday, I was surprised with these....

The bigger book= awesomeness. I haven't torn into the smaller one yet, but here's an example of one of the awesome meditations (SO AWESOME)

"He who has known you from all time will not just sit there unmoved, either. He will rejoice over you! Even now, God finds great joy in you. He delights in your fait, even as he sees the pockets of unbelief. He rejoices over your courage, your compassion, and you love, even as he sees your struggles with temptation. He enjoys touching your heart, helping you grow in holiness, and giving you a taste of heaven right now. All because he loves you."

MY GOODNESS!!!!!

This made my day!

(Thank you, Jared)

Day 15: Sweet Surprise

Jared made me a special meatloaf dinner tonight- made from scratch! Unfortunately, I was so hungry that I inhaled it without taking a photo. I know, slacker!

After dinner, Jared surprised me yet again with a special trip for ice cream! Just what I wanted!

Let me see if I can find a picture of something interesting.

Here we go!
I had an extra story that didn't make the cut from last week....

Shopping last week, I saw what I though had to have been a mistake....it wasn't.....

A bra....54F

This brings life to the saying "look at the size of that thing!"

Day 13: Whatever Floats Your Boat

After a four hour excursion to Corpus Christi (which I firmly believe is a haunted city) Kristen and I arrived early to the wedding, so we spent a little time "exploring" and of course, we tried the food.

Little boy in the back is hilarious!

We had a little chat with a waitress over lunch....theres some spooky stuff goin down at Blacbeard's...

What's more exciting than trying local restaurants? Local shopping!!!

Got tourists?!

Were proud to be just like all those crazy tourists...only difference....we weren't willin to pay the outrageous prices...

Next stop: the USS Lexington. This boat is really neat! Unwilling to pay the admission fee, we just admired this one from afar. This is my dad's favorite attraction- I've got baby book pics of me all over this very ship!

Come to find out- according to the website- "wheelchairs = free admission"
Strangely enough, that is how they refer to all disabled veterans...and people for that matter...made me giggle.

Other things we ran into:

We named these suckers....croc flops...

Mimi's REAL name!!! Very uncommon for keychains! Lol

Day 12: Fun Friday

I know I am behind and I owe you more than enough posts. I've been sick and out of town...not a good mix.

I have, however, been keeping up with my daily photos and exciting things goal...it's the posting part that's become more difficult than I had expected.

Day 12 (last Friday) was full of exciting things:

Yummy food!

And LOTS of fouls and free throws... :(

Rice's basketball court = awesomeness!!!
